Hello Mukupati Family,
I’m writing to you from the serene landscapes of South Lake Tahoe, where I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last two weeks surrounded by the breathtaking scenery, family, and dear friends. As summer ends, I find myself reflecting on what a transformative year it has been, both personally and professionally.
A year ago, after a challenging and financially draining trade show, I made the decision to move forward with Mukupati more slowly but steadily. I realized that, above all, my family and the precious 14 summers I have to truly enjoy with my boys before they dive into adolescence must remain my top priority.
This summer has been a testament to that commitment. I’ve had the privilege of spending so much quality time with my boys, building memories that will last. We've been traveling, hiking, biking, and, most importantly, connecting—with nature, with each other, and with the people who mean the most to us.
Something truly beautiful has happened over the past year: I’ve been able to reconnect with loved ones from my home country, and our kids are continuing these friendships in the most meaningful ways. Watching them choose to sit around the table and talk rather than sit in front of screens has been a joyful and intentional effort that require a lot of discipline and guidance from our part (the parents). However, seeing them, specially the little one, prioritize human connection fills my heart with happiness and hope.
As I close out this summer, my heart is full of adventures, flavors, familiar and new accents, warm hugs, laughs, welcoming embraces, and tender goodbyes. I can only hope that you, too, have made the space to enjoy and connect, and that you feel as fulfilled and happy as I do today.
So, here's to saying goodbye to a wonderful summer and welcoming the new school year with open arms. May it be filled with growth and continued connection.
With love and gratitude,
Eliana
